The recruitment and retention issues across the NHS are well documented but with an ageing population and a shift towards community care it has never been more important to develop a primary care workforce, fit for the future. Locums

We have an active peer support group for our locums and also invite you to take part in our PLTs and our funded CPD session. Please contact Christine who runs the group on christine.landreth@nhs.net

Placements – Multi-Professional Learning Environments (MPLE)

All our nine Primary Care Networks are approved by Health Education England as Multi-Professional Learning Environments. We are keen to support all learners in our borough.

Palliative Care

We are linked in with our local hospice St Christophers who have a wonderful educational programme - they support a community of practice for our local nurses who have an interest in palliative care and a separate one for GPs. Other primary care colleagues can also contact them to see if there is a group suitable.
