Resources to support supervision and assessment of neurodivergent learners and staff

As part of the work to Reduce pre-registration attrition and increase retention (RePAIR) NHSE London are pleased to announce the release of new resources to support staff in understanding and supporting neurodivergent students and staff in healthcare education and practice. Learning and assessment may be required during a pre-registration training programme, preceptorship, or a course being undertaken, once qualified, as part of continuing professional development.

This group faces unique challenges that require tailored support and understanding and resources have been developed to provide examples of learning across the multi-professional fields and increase understanding in relation to:

  • Supporting neurodivergent learners and staff
  • Supporting the assessment of neurodivergent learners and staff

The resources have been developed by a collaborative led by Dr Rachael Majors based at the States of Guernsey University and consist of 2 interactive e-learning packages. Each requires 30 mins to complete and a CPD certificate is available.

We would strongly encourage you to consider including these as part of preparation for staff who will be providing practice supervision/ assessments, or, as a part of annual updates for those who have previously completed this training.
