This is a 2-day course - both days must be attended in full and attendance will be tracked. The dates for this course are: <ul> <li>Tuesday 17-Sep-2024</li> <li>Tuesday 24-Sep-2024</li> </ul> This training will equip your nurse with the fundamentals of teaching and supporting learners in practice. This will enhance the nurse's knowledge and will be a step towards becoming a nurse educator. This course has been rebuilt from the ground up, using the 2019 NMC's Standards for Student Supervision and Assessment. The course has been re-designed to be more engaging and interactive. You will be expected to have your camera on and participate in the conversations as if it was a normal classroom environment. Quizzes throughout the course will be used to assess learning. The training is split into 2 sessions: <ul> <li>Tuesday 17-Sep-2024 - Session 1: This covers the history of SSSA, the new roles and how to give feedback, this is an interactive session which involves discussion, and it aims to give you the tools you need to be a Practice Supervisor</li> <li>Tuesday 24-Sep-2024 - Session 2: This day covers the next steps, signing off midpoint and final interviews, and action plans and how to fail a student, it will equip you with the tools you need to be a Practice Assessor. JITSUVAX Empathetic Refutational Interview (ERI) training.JITSUVAX is an EU Horizon 2020 funded global project coordinated by the University of Bristol, which investigates vaccine confidence among health professionals and provides evidence-based training to improve confidence and competence when having vaccine conversations. Training includes motivational interviewing to address hesitancy and dispel myths and misinformation.

This course will cover many issues in relation to customer service and communications in a fun and interactive way, using an actor workshop and real life scenarios from GP practice. The delegates will learn about communication skills, behaviour patterns and how to establish a patient centred service within their practice. The main training resource will be audio telephone calls between a receptionist and a patient.
The aim of this course is for each delegate to achieve a level of self-awareness, so their behaviour, thinking and service can be adapted to differing situations, ensuring a consistently excellent patient journey.
